Why I Won’t Ever Grow Tired Of Make Up
The following images says it all.
This was the day I did hair and makeup for the whole day. I went to 3 different locations. The first one was for a pre-nuptial shoot, prom and then the last one was for a party.
I wish I can make girls all over the world happy with my makeovers. I may not be the best makeup artist but what matters to me is the joy they feel whenever I lay my brushes on their face. It’s amazing how makeup can instantly boost their self-esteem and realise they’re beautiful. That moment when I see their eyes smiling upon seeing my work—-priceless.
It’s a feeling I want to repeat over and over again.
Mail Monday! 02242014
It’s that day of the week again! How’s your monday going? For today, I will be answering five questions submitted by my lovely followers. If you don’t know what is Mail Monday and how it works, please refer here.
1. From Aubrey Du
A: Hi Aubrey! I have to be honest but I don’t really clean my brushes after I use them. Kidding! I do spot cleaning on brushes whenever I have several bookings in a day. Every makeup artist must arrive with clean brushes as you don’t want to infect your client’s skin or something. To do this, get a gentle brush cleanser and a tissue to remove makeup from the brushes. I used alcohol before but it was too strong for the brushes. I also deep clean my brushes once a week. Spot cleaning may not remove dirt 100% so this is a must for me. Hope that answered your question! :)
2. From Anonymous
A: Hi! The workshops are on hold for now because of “something” coming out by the first quarter of the year(hopefully)! If not, I’ll be having a summer seminar by April. I will keep everyone posted. :)
3. From Anonymous
A: Thank you so much! My videos are really basic to be honest but I was thinking about doing a workshop about that last year pa. We’ll see! ;)
Why I Went To Lagen Island
To embrace the sun, of course! I’m really in love with the beach life. This is just my third time to go to the beach but I want to live there already!

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer ‘Kooky’
I recently got the MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer from the Make Up Hub team last week—-just in time for my birthday! They have bold shades from red to violet and this one named ‘Kooky’ really caught my eye. So yesterday, I decided to do an eye makeup look that you can pair it with.
No blush and contour here. I just focused on the eyes.
MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in Kooky. I will post more swatches of the other colours soon.
This look may a little bit remind you of my Ultraviolet Makeup Tutorial, but without the extreme cat-eye shape and black eyeshadow.
Rustic green eyes. Little wing liner. Lashes.

First Golden Wedding Gig!
It’s my first time to do makeup for a mature bride this 2014. Mrs. Molly, if I’m not mistaken, is 68 years old. She came home from the states along with her grand children to re-marry her husband of 50 years.
About a few weeks ago before her wedding day, we did a trial session at her relatives place. I was quite surprised that she just want her makeup simple. I did her makeup twice. The first one was too heavy on the eyes and she didn’t want it. I also gave her two brow shapes and made her choose the one she likes best. The first brow was soft-looking and the other is defined.
The only request she made was to wear her Rebel lipstick. She also didn’t want me to line her eyes as she’s wearing false eyelashes.
Before and after.
This is Mrs. Molly’s sister. Upon seeing the bride’s makeover, her grand children wanted me to do their makeup as well. I wasn’t really supposed to do their makeup cause the bride’s coordinator wanted me to focus on Mrs. Molly alone but since there’s too much time to kill, I gave in to their request.
I had Ivan Dollosa and friend Michelle to do the rest of the girls. Mrs. Molly wanted hot pink lips on the girls. Haha! They’re so sweet!
I forgot to take a before shot of these two.
Are these faces familiar to you? The Garcia family arrived a few hours before the wedding. They are one of my regular customers and the one who recommended me to Mrs. Molly! Special thanks to Jeline!
Jeline’s sister, Jeriline. I also did her hair and makeup before. Her skin is so flawless even without makeup!
How do you guys like the makeovers? Put your comments below!
All I Want For My Birthday…
Is a big booty h03! Kidding aside, I want boots. No, actually. I don’t want anything for my birthday but to be happy. I won’t ask for the latest Apple gadget. Nor will I ask anyone to buy me this and that. I don’t know what they call it, but I guess I’m starting to get old?
I’ve always wanted my birthday to be one of the best days of my life. I like having parties. This time though, I didn’t even think about treating my family to dinner. It’s like I just want to sit nicely on the couch and watch Two Broke Girls.
The day before my big day, I was at the mall with my family and got tempted to shop. I was already in line to pay for the things I picked. I was ready to splurge. Everything I wanted was in my hands. I told myself it’s okay to spend more on special days. Then guess what? I suddenly left the line without having second thoughts. I just want to save my salary on useful things. I still have clothes anyway and I can always “borrow” from my sister. Haha!
This year, I just want to invest my money on a small condo unit or a brand new car. It has been hard for me to carry my heavy train case whenever I do makeup on people for the first two years of being a freelance makeup artist. So last year, I started researching the best car for me. I’ve always wanted something sleek and I’m very particular with the color, too! I want it white with a black sun roof and beige interior. And I would probably buy something new cause I’m also very picky with the mileage. Correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve heard some people trick their kph in order to sell their car.
It doesn’t have to be a Hyundai Sonata(above). But it describes my dream car a lot.
My love for cars started when my brother introduced me to the famous Need For Speed game. I raced all circuits until the end of the game and then graduated to Most Wanted and Carbon. Thinking about it now, I could hear The Doors and Snoop Dogg singing “Riders On The Storm” in my head.
I fell in love with Ford Expedition ten years ago. That was the first car that I wanted but after learning that it eats a lot of gas, I have long moved on. Then I saw an Audi A4 passing by and I couldn’t take my eyes off it. I’ve never seen a car so beautiful!
I still remember that day when I told myself “My first car should be an Audi or forget it.” I was that determined and ambitious! Haha. I would have to work for 20 years before I get to drive this car. We don’t know.
We all need to be practical though. And I kind of want to break my promise to myself already. I want to get something inexpensive first, something to drive around the city for work. Something like a Hyundai Elantra or Toyota Vios? The only downside is that I could get waves from strangers. I’m not a taxi driver! :/
The new Honda Accord is an eye candy, too!
But then again, cars depreciate over time. And buying a condominium unit sounds more practical. If I don’t like the place anymore, I can have it rented or sell it for a higher price. Or maybe I’ll go for the car first cause I can also sleep there? Haha! What are your thoughts? Do you think I should get my own car at this age? Or invest my money on a condo unit?
P.S. Before you answer my questions, I just want to thank everyone for greeting me a happy birthday yesterday! Your messages are sooo overwhelming! I can’t believe I’m 21 years old now. I want to let you guys know that I love you, too and I read all of your messages, comments, and etc. I really appreciate all of those. Really. Again, with tears in my eyes, thank you so much! <3
